Customer Review: The best I could find

I wanted a toilet seat with quiet-close and easy removal for cleaning. I also wanted one that would last!
The previous seat had the first two features but, despite the high price I paid, did not last. It was made of compressed wood fibers, which was not evident from the description or observation. However, when it simply broke from nothing but weight (220 lbs) it became evident.
This solid plastic seat is not as beefy as I would prefer, but I think it will last. The quick attachment is a little more finicky than the last one. This one slides onto the post horizontally, while the previous one snapped on vertically. I'll have to use it longer to know whether I like it as well.
The cover over the attachment point can appear to break off, as one reviewer noted. However, it only snaps into place at its hinge point, so can be snapped back on if it comes completely off rather than hinging open.
Someone complained about comfort on the seat. I do not have that problem, but not everyone is the same shape/dimensions. [Isn't that a profound observation?]
So far, this is the best I have been able to find. I recommend it because it functions well and should last.
