Customer Review: Bad quality for the money

My husband and I bought this strainer for our kitchen in summer 2008. We bought it mostly for the brushed nickel finish that would match our other kitchen hardware. Right from the start there were problems. The black rubber rings that are supposed stop the water from draining out of the sink would pop off all the time. I would fill the sink with soapy water and a few minutes later it would be drained. I would try to re-adjust the strainers so that they would hold water. Sometimes I could get it to hold water but often they wouldn't. We paid just under $50 a piece for two strainers and it was by far the worst money we spent renovating our entire kitchen. The product has a one year warranty. We didn't take advantage of it in time so the company graciously sent us two new rubber rings.
