Overall this is a nice little "kitchen drawer" tool set. The case is nice and durable. The tools are good quality although the level and measuring tape are lower quality than the rest of the set. The consumable items like picture hangers are a nice touch. I usually don't like tool kits that include things that can be "used up" but since this will be in the kitchen drawer it will be a useful addition.
Here is a bit more of a breakdown:
Scissors: these are run of the mill cheap kitchen shears. I actually already own an identical pair that are all black that I bought very cheaply somewhere else. They are of average quality and do fine for many jobs. These will last for a long time, based on the life of the identical black shears I already own.
Level: By far the weakest part of this tool kit. You would not want to use this level for any work. Its just too small and the quality level is very low. The magnetic strip on it is a nice touch, but not unique. Certainly its better than nothing but if you REALLY need the job done right you should take a few moments to run out to the garage and get your better one.
Case: The case is ok. You can access the craft knife, scissors, and etc without opening the case. The case feels very substantial and durable. The tools fit firmly. KR did a good job with this selection.
The "consumables": (picture hangers, etc) these are of average quality. You can buy a better set of picture hangers in walmart cheaply. They are a fine addition considering how the tool kit will be used.
The tape measure: its a bit too cheaply made for my taste but fine for a quick measurement here or there.
The screwdrivers, plier and hammer: standard grade, reasonable quality stuff. The metal used is CRV-6150 which is as good as Stanley and many other well-known brands. Its a good quality metal that is unlikely to rust. Yes, all stainless steel can rust if you treat it badly (like, leave it out in the rain). This metal is much better than "carbon steel" or "hardened steel". Its an appropriate choice for this tool set.
Overall, a solid 4 stars, mostly because of the case and the fact that they used chrome vanadium steel. If KR Tools put in a better quality level and tape measure I would have given it 5 stars.
