Customer Review: Don't hesitate---This thing really works!

I was a little hesitant to try this product when I was offered it. But I can safely say this is one of those gadgets you see and thing boy if that works it would really be helpful. This delivers. We have two dogs who shed alot; it easily picks up those clumps of hair collect around and under things. It picks up all the loose dirt we have tried.
I do a lot of document shredding a get a lot of small shreds of paper on a berber carpet (you will extend battery life by lifting just a little when you use on carpeting).
It empties easily.
We are very happy with thing. Just follow the instruction to charge it up for a full 24 hours, and after that there's no problem.
The only complaint I have is a minor one that's easily dealt with, and may be changed on subsquent updates of the product. The handle is in three friction fit pieces that then are a friction fit into the unit. We had to wrap the ends of the pieces that fit together with a small piece of fabric in our case to make the fit more snug. It's a very minor problem for an ortherwise very useful tool.

I married my husband as well as a lab mix dog and realized that I needed daily help. I first started dragging out a Kirby vac that was already at the house, but it was really bulky and awkard. I started looking for alternatives and found this. This is very light weightand can be used everyday without having to look like a weight lifter. I can even get under my love seat. The handle goes parallel to the floor. I was extremely impressed. It helped keep the hair bunnies from getting out of control. There are two problems that I have with this product. The first is that you can not have any moisture or dog slobber on the floor or it will not pick up properly and the other is that it does not edge well to walls or cabinets.
Even with my two problems I still use this on a daily basis to pick up dog and cat hair as well as any dirt that gets tracked in.
I would buy this again in a heart beat. It is a working womans savior to having to pull out a heavy vacuum everyday to keep up with pet hair.

We're very happy with the Karcher K50. It does exactly what we bought it for - automating a broom and dustpan operation. The patio and sidewalks around our house have a pretty but highly textured surface that has been a challenge to keep tidy. It gets power washed a few times a year, but day-to-day requires intensive sweeping to pick up trapped dust, leaves, dropped flower petals, etc. The K50 now does it quickly and efficiently. The basket is large enough to hold plenty of debris. I thought the 20 minute battery life might be a limitation, but so far it hasn't been a problem. The only negative is I can't sweep early in the morning - though the little motor is quiet, the hard plastic wheels are really noisy on the rough surface and we don't want to disturb the neighbors.Customer Review: Dirt can't hide

This product is so light and convenient, because of its cordless nature. This is the first unit of its type that I have used that performs satisfactorily. Not only does it perform satisfactorily, but outstandingly. I am able to remove cat hairs from my carpets, a task my powerful vacuum sometimes has difficulty with. The revolving brush in the head must contribute to its cat hair removal prowess. I have given several of these units to family and friends and they are amazed that they actually work. Their past experiences with cleaners of this type have not been successful. This is my second unit, the first lasted for a year and a half. We first bought the Dirt Devil broom vac (at Costco) because it was well rated by CR. I really hated it! Once the filter got dirty, the suction disappeared. Returned it to Costco and bought this one based on the reviews. It is awesome! It doesn't have any suction since it just sweeps. I do agree that it doesn't edge well, but it picks up everything from our ceramic tile floor....even on the grout lines. It is relatively quiet, and easy enough to use for my 5 year old. It works well on little sticky pieces of steamed rice, Cheerios, cracker crumbs...pretty much everything except really big things. It is much better than a regular broom.
