I bought this drill as a replacement for a 12V Dewalt drill with worn out batteries....I should have bit the bullet and bought new batteries for my Dewalt instead of buying this drill....Both the batteries stopped charging in April after I had used it very lightly for less 4 months.....The return window closed in February....I wrongly assumed it would have a 1 yr warranty...Heck even a 6 month warranty would have covered replacement...I guess I should stay with Home Depot and Sears for my tool purchases....Customer Review: Spend the money to get something better

Price is attractive but you will remember the poor quality long after the low price is forgotten. Drill is made by AllTrade. Drill head on the drill I received for Christmas was not properly aligned, so the bit wobbles with every turn of the drill head. I sent it back to AllTrade for correction while under warranty with a thorough description of the problem but the drill came back in the same condition in which I sent it. Wish I had simply returned it.Customer Review: Useless

Right after I received this tool, I used it to drill a hole but the drill bit was wobling. First I thought I did not insert the bit in the right position, but then I found no matter how I did it, it did not work right. Then, I check customer review on this product and I found there was a customer having the same issue a few year back. You would think they would have fixed this manufacturing defect but they did not. price cheap but it is useless.Customer Review: Good value for the money for work around the house

I bought this set at Costco a year ago and so far I'm very pleased. It's not a heavy duty drill and you can see this right away but then you're not paying for heavy duty one. This drill is a solid performer around the house and in a garage. Plenty of torque and good battery life. I didn't have a chance to use the drill bits too much but they look solid too.
overall, it will be hard to find a better deal for $40.

The drill motor seems so be ok. However, the NiCD batteries are NO GOOD.
They do not hold a charge. There is a Nation Wide RECALL on these units.
Call 1-877-231-9239 for help in replacing these parts, charger, and two batteries. By the way, this includes 19 VDC and 21.6 VDC units.
The case is very nice and the extra parts, bits etc. seem to be ok.
