We ordered Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier with Auto Shut-Off, and Amazon was offered it as it works whit the humidifier. So we decided to buy it together, but wrong. Amazon get us confused this time. i bought this humidifier, and then i needed these mineral absorption pads for it. i have the beginnings of a half pound boulder on the hot plate even after using these as directed. so either they do nothing, or i have some of the hardest water known to man.Customer Review: wrong size

these are marketed as replacement filters for a vicks model but these are too big for it. these measure 3 1/4" when the vicks model requires a 2 1/4 filter. i am not trying to skew product ratings, merely trying to warn those considering this product.Customer Review: Best priced, great quality!

These are exactly like the ones that came with the humidifier in the box. They work great. The humidifier itself needs maintenance to keep from mineral build up, but the absorbtion pads keep it from entering your room's atmosphere. Good stuff.Customer Review: Doesn't really work

Very little of the mineral build up adheres to the pad. It seems it must float above the heating element, because 90% of build up occurs on the heating element with another 8 percent building up on the plastic surrounding the heating element.
