I've only had this product for one month which isn't very long but what i really like about it is the digital readout. The digital readout takes any guess work out of the picture. Another nice feature is the low battery alarm that tells you when to replace the batteries. This unit should be replaced after seven years ( like most i suppose ) and it even will sound an alarm that tells you when it's time to replace it. I can't see any reason to buy any other Carbon Monoxide Alarm. So far i think it's worth every penny and i recommend it to everyone.Customer Review: PEACE OF MIND

I HAVE A 13 YEAR OLD RHEEM GAS FURNACE. I WAS TOLD BY MY MAINTENANCE TECH THAT SOME OF THE HEAT CONDUCTORS
IN THESE UNITS CORRODE IN OLDER MODELS AND ALLOW CARBON MONOXIDE TO ESCAPE. OF COURSE HE SUGGESTED PURCHASING
A NEW FURNACE (AND A/C UNIT) FROM HIS COMPANY FOR AROUND $10K. AS A RETIRED PERSON LIVING ALONE AND NOT HAVING AN
EXTRA $10K TO SPEND, I NEEDED A DETECTOR TO MONITOR C.M. EMISSIONS. THE PEACE OF MIND OF SEEING THE "0" EMISSIONS ON

This alarm was delivered on time and as expected from Amazon.com. I have not yet found out the battery life because the product is new. The alarm sounds if you insert the batteries incorrectly and there is a timer that makes the alarm sound after 7 years when the product is due for replacement. The device comes with a stand so that you can place it on a flat surface no higher than 3 feet above the floor rather than drill holes for wall mounting. I have high expectations for the quality of this brand.Customer Review: This is a awesome product!

I researched this on consumer reports and this was recommended as cr best pick. I am very pleased with this. I was so tired of a alarm going off when we cooked and then we pulled the battery,which is not good because then we would forget to connect it again. It went off the other day, I hit the hush button and it was silenced. In 7 minutes when it came back on the smoke was gone and no battery had to be pulled. This is a great product and everyone that has pulled a battery needs to get a few.Customer Review: Nifty CO monitor

I bought this to monitor CO in my home. It came quickly and had free shipping. It came with the batteries it needed it seems pretty sturdy. The instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. I just popped open the case, put the batteries in and set it in my hallway table with it's little stand (like a picture frame). It looks nice and I like that it has a display so you know how much CO there is...not simply an alarm. I look at it every time I walk by and it gives me peace of mind.
