I was worried when I purchased this that I would end up with a flimsy piece of contact paper that would either resist chalk or soak it in too well, resulting in permanent lines. Neither worry came to pass... this paper is awesome! Much faster than painting, much cheaper than a traditional board, and easy to cut and place. I've been toying with several diff. shapes and I think my kids will enjoy this purchase for years to come!Customer Review: very surprised

I bought this for a home school and although when I got it I thought it was a mistake after I stuck it to a old mirror and hung it I was very surprised at how well it took chalk. writes great erases pretty good. only thing is how often it needs to be washed down. I use glass cleaner and so far no problems.
As a note: watch for bubbles when you mount it.

I was very skeptical with this "sticker chalk board" thinking that it would fall off the wall or slide off- but it is on his playroom painted wall now for months.......and hasn't moved, lifted or bubbled. He erases and draws on it over and over again and it still maintains its newness. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat. You will not be dissapointed!Customer Review: Works as advertised

Works better than I expected. After cleaning with wet cloth the new writing on board may seem light but when it drys---usually within two minutes--it is vivid. Used daily as a menu board in a restaurant. Much more versatile--any size or shape you want-- than a standard "blackboard" and less expensive.

This paper is really just black contact paper. The chalk did write on it, but not without having to go over it a number of times to be able to see it. Not a coarse enough surface to really hold the chalk.
It was a good price though and for an at home project worked out okay.
