This worked well for me. I don't have a ton of practice hanging doors so I was willing to pay for something that would prevent mistakes. It worked well, the lockset went in without a significant hitch. The one flaw I noticed is that the attached bits get dull quickly (the fourth hole was significantly more difficult than the first). I bought this unit and the adaptor broke the first time I tried using it. I contacted Kwikset twice but have received no response. I'm sorry I bought it, but at over $200 I assumed I'd be buying something substantial, especially with the Kwikset brand name. I wouldn't recommend this or, based on the non response from Kwikset, any other dealings with this company.Customer Review: very nice!

This kit seems to be very nice and works very good for the money I spent on it! I had a few parts that needed replaced, but Amazon and Kwikset were very good and fast at the replacement of these at no cost to me. I also purchased a 2 1/8 carbide spur bit which only cost an aditional $59.99. Very nice overall!Customer Review: Very specialized tool

This has been a real life saver for the few time a year that i pull it out to bore out lock sets on blank door slabs. everything you need for a good job is right there in the set, just make sure you bring along a nice sharp chisel to finish of the mortises after punching them in.Customer Review: Lockset Bore Kit

This is one nice product. It has the strike plat punches. I do wood and metal doors. Deadbolt & locksets. The bit last longer if you use low on your drill and yes i wish i could get a carbide bit I have done about 15 doors masonite and oak raised panel. Good solid item.
