Tools and Hardware Reviews of Leak Frog LF001 Water AlarmCustomer Review: Leaky Dishwasher almost ruined hardwood floors Summary: 5 Stars
This little guy started emitting a loud, I mean loud, chirping noise when my dishwasher door started to leak. At first, I couldn't figure out what was making the noise. But the little guy was tucked under the kick plate directly under my dishwasher door and it kept chirping until I dried it off. Great product. If it hadn't gone off, my new, post-hurricane Ike floors would have been ruined. Great product!
Customer Review: I love it! Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
We put the leak frog next to our water furnace in case a pipe would break.
The noise he makes would tip us off in no time (unless we were on second story as he is in the basement) The design makes us smile and makes it easy to spot him when we walk into the basement. Thanks! So clever and gives us a sense of peace in case we get a leak. What an inexpensive way to protect our basement.
Customer Review: leakfrog Summary: 4 Stars
Although it hasn't been put to a 'real world' test, I did try putting the leakfrog in a small puddle of water on the kitchen counter. He beeped until I picked him up.
He's now sitting inside the basement door, ready to alert us the next time the stairwell drain gets clogged with leaves. He's cute, too, and a conversation piece.
Customer Review: Don't waste your money on this Timid Frog Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this thing for my downstairs bathroom and was expecting an alarm similar to a smoke alarm. You can barely hear this alarm. A real frog would be louder. My kids eletronic toys are louder than this thing. Unless you are standing in the same room you won't here this timid Frogs pathetic little beep. Don't waste your money.
Customer Review: Hope it works! Summary: 5 Stars
This looked great on tv ... we hope it works but we hope we never really need it!!! We could have just used it as we recently had a "major flood" in our home due to a sink running over and this would have saved the thousands of dollars of repair bills we are now facing ... not to mention repairmen, dust, etc.!
