The only bad thing about this for me is the light itself is sensitive to movement, the cartage (or whatever you want to call it) that holds the batteries seems to wiggle a lot. So the light would flicker or not turn on at all unless I shook it. I sort of fixed it by stuffing some foam on the bottom just so the batteries move around less, it helps stop the flickering, but occasionally I'd have to hit it make the light turn on.
But overall, the UV light is bright and is pretty powerful for that size and feels really sturdy.

I have 8 cats and occasionally need to find where someone peed or threw up (can smell it, but can't find it). After receiving this flashlight, I used it from one end of my house to the other. It showed nothing other than fuzz. All the fuzz was lit up beautifully. The urine/vomit - NOT!!!! I knew my very old cat had peed on the bathroom throw rug. Saw it on the rubber bottom & could smell it. After dark, I turned off all the lights and shown the black light flashlight directly on the pee spot and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!! Very disappointed! Don't waste your money on this product if the purpose of your purchase is to fine urine!!Customer Review: Great item, what a bargain!

I bought this for my Disney O-Pin Haunted House blacklight pins. It works great! It works on blacklight reflective items, glow-in-the-dark items, urine (we have ferrets, 'nuff said), and I even tried it on a scorpion I have...he lit up like crazy!
It's strong enough to be used as a flashlight. And small enough to be carried anywhere...I always keep it in my purse and pull it out to find my keys or whatever. And of course, to show off my Disney pins.
It is a bargain for the money, I can find no fault, it's well built, works great, and I find myself using it frequently. What more can you ask for?

I purchased this to locate cat urine around my sizable one bedroom apartment. Overall, I'm happy with it. It is small (about the length of my cell phone) and that shocked me. Because of its size, I wouldn't recommend it for large places with long walls that you hope to scan quickly. But, for my purposes it was perfect. Even in dim light the beam was bright enough to clearly locate urine markings on the walls. It has a push button at the back which you press to turn on and off. It's not made from a heavy rubber (it's a lightweight cheap-y metal) so I would be careful about dropping it.Customer Review: good light for cat pee

I bought this to find spots on the carpet where the cat peed. It works well, but you have to wait until dark and turn off the lights. There were a few parts of the house that stank, but we couldn't tell exactly where the pee was. When we used this, we discovered that we had been spraying natures miracle in the wrong place. When we identified and sprayed the pee spot, the smell went away. A lot of things besides cat pee glow, but cat pee seems to glow with a yellowish color. I decided to spray the spots with the yellowish color that i saw on the litter granules or spots that smelled.
