This flashlight is basically for kids and people who want UV stuff to glow. If you're buying it because you want to detect cat urine in your carpet, don't even bother. My cat has peed all over and I even aimed it at a spot she'd peed on less than an hour ago, and zip, nada, zilch. Not even the faintest glow. Nothing. Also, either there's a magical fairie that cleaned my bathroom last night or this doesn't pick up any body fluids whatsoever. I will be attempting to get my money back--the only police that would use this at a crime scene are rave police.Customer Review: What else could you expect

I bought two of this with other items for the free shipping, so I actually pay for the price listed. The shipment came in earlier than estimated. I have been using it for sometimes and it is still working well.
Pros: Small in size, convenient to carry in pocket, even has a string loop for you to hang on your wrist.
Brightness is satisfactory, I walk my dog every night, and the light is good enough.
They even come with batteries, that's another saving.
Cons: I have no complaint.

I had a cat that started inconsistently using her litter box. Drove me nuts. I needed to find exactly where in the various rooms she urinated so they could be cleaned and access blocked. This little blacklight did the trick. Was it perfect, no. Some of the lighter shag carpeting was tough to get a good reading on, but you could still tell. It worked great on the berber and the level loop carpeting. And now that our problem is solved, my son is having a ball using it as just a black light. I had a sneaking suspicion that my hubby was having an affair with my neighbor. I never did buy the story that she "lost something" when I found her hiding in my bedroom closet.
So anyway, I bought this flashlight to find some "evidence" and oh boy did I find it. My husband was caught UV handed! Suffice it to say, this flashlight also doubles as a nice blunt object. Big enough for a misdemeanor, but not quite a felony.

I got this blacklight as a cool little device to use while camping or looking for stuff that cannot be normally seen with the visible eye. It's handy and as soon as I got it I shined it all over my dark house and noticed an area where my cat had evidently peed without me knowing. It's a great little device for detecting stains if you have pets or otherwise. I intend to bring it with me on travel to make sure my hotel sheets are clean.
