Tools and Hardware Reviews of LRI PWK Photon II LED Keychain Micro-Light, White Beam

Customer Review: LRI Photon
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the LRI PWK Photon II Keychain Micro-Light. It is very bright for a keychain light. I tested it with my old stand-alone flash light and this thing is actually brighter. The light is 4.5 lumens.

Don't know much about flashlights. Just started researching on them recently:

If you want a regular flashlight: go with 200 lumens. They are very bright but not keychain lights though.

There are few that are in the 800 lumens range. They are police tactical flash lights that are used to shine light across a block.

But if you want the mother of all flashlights. Get the wicked laser torch flashlight. It's got 4000+ lumens and can turn darkness into daylight. It also burns stuff easily. Make sure you don't burn your house down please!

Customer Review: Keychain Micro Light
Summary: 5 Stars

I received a Photon II LED Keychain Micro light several years ago as a christmas gift from a son; in fact he gave everyone in the family this keychain light. I still have mine on my car keys and use it infrequently. However, it is very handy when you need it. It has never failed to work (haven't replaced the battery yet).

My wife lost her's recently so I searched the web and found the original, which was also at Amazon, and purchased this Micro-light for her replacement. She didn't realize how much she had used it until it was lost.

Upon comparison, they are identical. In fact if you mixed them you couldn't tell which one was the new one (very durable).

This is a good product and easy to recommend.

Customer Review: Great gift idea
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought 4 of the Photon II Micro Keychains for Christmas presents this year. They are surprisingly bright for such a small bulb. The light is also not just a tiny pin point of light but can light up a small room or two car garage enough to make everything reasonably visible. I also bought one for myself. No more fiddling around with the house keys after dark because I forgot to turn on the front porch light. Although I have not changed the battery since it's new, it seems relatively easy to replace the battery should the need arise. The price of the photo II may seem expensive in comparison to other LED keychain lights, however given the durability and lifetime warranty, the photon II is a bargain.

Customer Review: Put this on your keychain, and never want for light again
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the Photon II to replace an older key light, and it's sooo much better! It produces about as much light as my much bulkier 2D Maglite.

The button has the ideal pressure threshold to activate easily but not accidentally. The constant on switch is often handy, but it did require an unreasonable amount of force to activate until I operated it a few times. I don't know whether it's normal for the switch to have to be "broken in" like this or if it was a sample defect, but it works fine now.

The Photon II is pricey compared to other key lights, but if you use it anywhere near as often as I use mine, then you'll be glad you spent the extra couple of bucks.

Customer Review: Best keychain light I've ever used
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried many mini keychain lights over the years and this one by far is the best. Compared the Nova ones I used to get at Target, it's definitely uglier, but the light is FAR brighter and it doesn't get drained by lighting the inside of my pocket when pressed up against keys (which happened constantly with other lights I've owned) and it has a very specific 'keep on' switch which is perfect. If you've read this far, I congratulate you, but you could have just skipped to these following bullet points:

* very bright
* doesn't accidentally get drained in your pocket
* nice switch to keep light on
* for 8 bucks, totally worth it
