Tools and Hardware Reviews of LRI PWK Photon II LED Keychain Micro-Light, White BeamCustomer Review: Very handy to carry with you on your key chain Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very handy little light that is small enough to carry around in your pocket on a keychain. The LED "bulb" is very bright for its size, more than adequate for finding your way around in a dark spot, reading a map, finding key holes, etc with simple thumb press on the button. It has a small switch that will lock the light in the "on" position. I highly recommend this Micro Light II model over the more expensive Micro Light III. The Micro III has more features, but they aren't that useful and mine used up the batteries in just a few weeks. So I bought a Micro II and have been very happy with it. The battery has lasted several months so far.
Customer Review: Best Key Chain Light I've Seen Summary: 5 Stars
Pros: Small size, great for keychains
Super bright light
Locking on switch
Cons: None so far
I use my keychain light a lot at work where the lighting is bad. The last light I had was the same size but put out about 1/4 the light that this one does. I can read labels on boxes without getting to within 1'. I've had lights that were about as bright, but came in a much bulkier package. I wasn't sure if I would need the locking on switch, but for searches lasting beyond 10 sec, it becomes much easier, plus I can put it down and aim it where I want and have both hands free. Indispensable.
Customer Review: CARFULL!! PAY ATTENTION!! Not a real LRI photon Summary: 1 Stars
All LRI Photons use energizer batteries it is common knowlage and this one came with some off brand/no brand in english batteries. The top was not textured and the build quality was poor I own several and bought this one for a gift just make sure the one that you get is the real deal. It was from amazon too and the pakage got delayed...I payed for two day shiping and it took over a week...and when it arrived it was not in LRI packaging but some little baggie...that had been opened (it said lri pwk photon II on it some joke that is) it looks like some $1 toy light the light actually shines through the battery compartmant on mine
Customer Review: Look at Inova instead Summary: 3 Stars
This review is really about a better alternative to the Photon-II - the Inova Microlight. I purchased the Inova at CompUSA after doing some quick research on the net. The Inova is just as small as the Photon-II and in my opinion is a better design. 1) the case is screw-less; no micro screw-driver required for a battery change. 2) the Inova's small slide switch is easier to operate 3) the Inova's LED is recessed into the case and not exposed 4) the Inova's quick-clip is easier to attach than a split-ring. All this at a price that is 2/3's the price of the Photo-II. (icing on the cake).
Customer Review: Awesome little keychain light Summary: 5 Stars
It seems like I've always needed a little keychain light - I tend to drop things on the floor in dark places and have lost a number of things over the years because I can't see them. The Photon II is extremely bright, and the little switch keeps the beam so you don't have to constantly squeeze the light in order for it to work.
The light itself is small - it literally is the size of a quarter in width. It's virtually weightless and for the price ($8), I'm happy I bought it. In fact, with the quick release clip, this could double as a zipper pull on parkas so you're never without a light.
