This is a great product. It keeps the wind, cold, heat, insects and rodents out of what was once an open hole to the interior of my home. I went to HomeDepot looking for a good solution to a typical builders stock solution to a dryer vent, but didn't find much more than more crap. This is an excellent find. It was shipped quickly and is made of high quality plastic. I installed the same day it came. The only issue was attaching the top screws to the unit. I damaged the top slightly as there is not a lot of room for the drill or screw driver. Also be aware that this is a big vent. It's not tiny, but I believe the size makes sense for functional reasons. It's also not horrible looking, so the size doesn't really bother me. I highly recommend this for someone trying to control temperature and investations.Customer Review: The Bunny !!!!!!

Short Story, Rabbit went down dryer vent,died in dryer,at the height of decomposing we found out where the horrible smell was coming from, pulled the dryer away from the wall & there it was,tryed to clean up everything on the spot, BIG MISTAKE!!!! Make a long story short, new dryer #545.00 odor control $150.00 & a bunch of aggravation. We was not going to put the same cheap vent in again, Oh yea i forgot that everything we touched with the rubber gloves we had to throw out so we are close to a $1000.00 worth of damage.YOU CANT GET THAT SMELL OUT,came across this product, this was exactly what i was looking for,so if your vent sits close to the ground like ours, this is a great product to put in,& also the customer service is great to.Customer Review: Very pleased

I installed this vent over the summer and have waited to review until we had some cold days to judge. Installation was simple and directions were clear. I periodically check the floating cup for buildup and have not seen any significant issues - it always falls into place to seal the opening. It is frigid weather today(4 Fahrenheit) when I checked), and our dryer is in the bathroom, and I was so pleased to find the dryer was room temp and not an ice cold heat sink like it used to be. I couldn't be more satisfied with it. I had none of the issues mentioned in other reviews. I also bought the Battic flue pillow for my fireplace - not very attractive or discreet, but effective.Customer Review: Not That Easy to Install

This product appears to be what it is advertised to be. Unfortunately for me, I could not install it due to the siding on my house. The vent I wanted to replace was 16 feet up the side of the house and installed under 2 laps of siding. There was no way to cut thru to install this Dryer vent, from a ladder and that high up. And because of the overlap between 2 laps of siding, it was impossible to install on top of the siding. I am sure this is a very good product, but it installation is not as simple as written on the side of the box. It is very dependent on the type of siding, the current vent's height on the side of the house and how the current vent is installed.Customer Review: Poorly Manufactured Product

My dryer vent hasn't been keeping out the cold air as well as I would like and being energy conscious, I decided to try this product. The idea of it seems to be very good. In other words the engineering is fine. However the material is just okay (thinner and more brittle than other plastic vents on my home) and the manufacturing quality is poor. There are gaps between the seams where the various molded pieces are assembled that will let in water and air. I am debating whether to try and patch this unit myself or simply toss it in the trash bin. Right now it is sitting in the basement awaiting disposition. I do commend the seller for prompt delivery.
