As always, Amazon shipped quick and complete. The first job I did with this was to jack up a cardboard-type ceiling that was sagging from a water leak above it. Left the jacks in place for a week til the ceiling dried. Success. Now I am putting up 1/2" 4x8 sheetrock on a ceiling that is 9 ft tall. 13 sheets. It's making this job very easy. I'm still using a cleat to hold the first edge up, than using the jacks to support the rest. If you work alone, like I do, this is what you'd been waiting for.Customer Review: Way, way way over rated!

I purchased the third hand based on the 5star reviews. I must have a different standard for evaluating a useful tool because this one just doesn't cut it. It's heavy and awkward, plus you need a step ladder and a a third hand to use it. It's cheap, but so what if it's hard to use and it's going to end up in the "useless tools" corner of the shop. I didn't use it for cabinets so maybe it's ok for that. To erect a dust barrier and for crown molding The Third Hand is not a 5star tool.Customer Review: Damage on Delivery

Received my 3rd hands today and one was damaged. The plastic
piece on the bottom and the neoprene grip both broken. Called
the Fastcap company got great service they shipped out new pieces
the same day. Product works good but I think they need to revamp
the plastic ends going onto the red metal shaft from plastic to
metal. Would still recommend this product and was very impressed
with the fast response of the Fast cap company.

I HATE TO WAIT!!,AND/OR ASK FOR HELP for projects I'm doing around the
house that require another person to "hold up" something while I move it,
tack it, hang it, paint it..etc. That's why this product is perfect for me.
I'm a female with limited strength but great ambition. The 3rd hand is like having that other person at my beck and call. Ready and willing anytime I am.
Love it. Can't imagine any project without it!

I ordered two 3rd Hand's from Amazon and two Multi-Quick Supports from Rockler Woodworking. The Rockler is a much better product. The 3rd Hand supports only 70 pounds while the Rockler supports 150 pounds. The 3rd Hand's feet are plastic, while the Rockler feet consist of metal frames covered with rubber pads. The Rockler is also much, much easier to extend. And best of all the Rockler does less damage to your wallet.
