We do a lot of repairs, renovations etc for rental homes and one of us is a lot more useful than the other when it comes to physical strength and endurance. After a few drops that resulted in damaged cabinets or close calls - I happened to see this and decided to give it a try. It's a toss up who is happier...me for not having to stress so much when trying to hold up things or my better half who can work without my help in greater safety. Purchased the large and small sizes - both work great. Easy release, stabilized footing, solid performers. Have owned for five years and other than occassionally have to hunt down the feet which have a habit of falling off, totally satisfied.Customer Review: Good helper...needs improvements

I had both this version and the bigger version that works for crown molding.
This one has a very good price/value ratio, I could adjust cabinet to perfection by myself. It's strong enough to hold cabinets on it...
My only concern , when trying to adjust the cabinets in place, this thing can raise the cabinet up with fine adjustments(one needs to get used to it), the problem comes when you need to LOWER it DOWN...the ONLY option you have is to release the handle and start pumping it up again....
Very annoying, I'm considering paying double the price for other brand like T-Jak (screw type) that work both directions smoothly.

Can a 48 year old women install cabinets by herself? With these cabinet jacks from FastCap the answer is yes! I just finished installing all my wall cabinets and I don't think I could have done it without these jacks. I put up a 1x3 ledger board to rest the back of the cabinets on then used the jacks to level them and hold them in place. My hands were totally free to use my level, drill and other tools. I looked all over for cabinet jacks and most are much too expensive for one time use. The product was exactly as expected as i have the larger size 3rd hand already in use. The problem was that this product was sold as a "2 pack". When received there was one in the box. After calling Amazon they resent the order and told me to just send the original package back. As expected when it came there was one in the box. Now i have the 2 i ordered but Amnazon is waiting for my return. Sigh......after 2 phone calls i'm still tryting to explain to them that they have a problem in there stock room. I bought these jacks thinking they would be helpful. I was installing new kitchen cabinets by myself. While the concewpt is a good idea, unfortunately these jacks just don't do the job. They are poorly designed and cheaply made mostly of plastic. The end plates are too small and the jack post fit is too sloppy. You end up with a very loose and tippy jack. The height adjustment is too coarse to be able to tweak cabinet height to a line. I ended up tossing the jacks and doing it the old fashioned way with a ledger strip.
