Customer Review: great fan for the money quiet for a box fan

i have had a lot of box fans in my day and this is a quiet fan.box fans by nature are noisy.they move a lot of air.if you want a quiet fan buy a 16 in ossilating pedistal fan.there pretty quiet for fans.but if you want air volume then box fans are good for this.i purchased 2.for my bed room i just took the shields off and screwed them to my windowsills 2 screws and flat washer for each fan.holes are already drilled in the bottom of the fans.this way they wont fall or get blown out of the window by the cat or a strong wind.i have one facing out to exhaust and one blowing in.this way it exchanges the air.when the room gets to the temp i like i just shut it off using the thermostat.and it keeps the room at a comfortable temp.and saves you money by not running all the time.if i ever need to remove them just put alittle wood putty in the holes.but this way i don't have to remove them when it rains i just close my windows.but if you don.t mind the noise of a fan buy the air king box fan 9723 they really move the air.also the lakewood P-25 has the metal fan blades they work great.the lasko 3723 has the highest cfm of all the box fans on the market today. (3226 cfm) i bought these cause they fit in the windowsills better they have a shorter depth.and are less noisy then most box fans.and have the weather shield and thermostat. i am very pleased with these fans.they keep my room nice and cool. box fans normaly cost about 2 cents perhour to run.alot cheaper then running your ac.
