Customer Review: Not quite what I was hoping for

First, I have to say that the fan feels pretty cheap as you take it out of the box.
Second, to be fair with the rest of my review, I should point out that I originally purchased the fan hoping it would work on the floor rather than on my desk. This is because the A/C vents in my room are right by the door, so I have to keep a fan in the way of the door to blow cool air in from the vent in the summer. I have another fan that was meant to blow air directly on me when I'm at my desk.
I thought a small, skinny fan like the Lasko here would minimize the obstruction when getting into my room. But this is a desk fan, and it isn't very powerful. Some desk fans can push the air pretty well, but not this one. Even on high setting (there are only 2 speeds) it isn't that great. For this alone, I would give the fan 3 out of 5 stars.
The biggest issue is that the power button doesn't work very well. Every few days the power button will stop working. I have to unplug the fan, then plug it back in to "reset" the switch so it will work again. This is definitely a manufacturer defect, so that bumped it down to a rating of 1 star.
