Tools and Hardware Reviews of Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan

Customer Review: couldve been better
Summary: 3 Stars

Got mine shipped from a home improvement store online for 40% less than any of the sellers on Amazon as of right now. Its stylish, performs well, and very compact. It is not super stable, so an errant bump with my notebook toppled it, and it instantly developed squeaks and noises.

It's still the quietest fan in my office, whether its on high or low. Both settings satisfy me for airflow in this size of fan, though the buttons are a pain and rarely/never feel positive. I think the current prices everywhere reflect a premium both for this unique style of fan and the upcoming warmer weather. Im happy with it, but it could be better.

Customer Review: Surprisingly Good
Summary: 5 Stars

I didn't expect much from this fan due to its very small size, but it works really well. It produces a surprisingly good breeze, even on low speed. It is reasonably well finished, with decent-quality plastic and a black metal mesh on the back. It is fairly quiet when running. The control buttons are silent too, thank goodness: no pointless beeping noises when you turn it on or off.

Finally, it uses amazingly little electricity for a fan: 20 watts on high, and 13 watts on low.

This unit isn't going to replace a big box fan, but it would work well as a desk fan or low-power room fan.

Customer Review: Lasko 400 air stik ultra slim oscillating fan
Summary: 5 Stars

I just got the Lasko 4000 from amazon rather quickly I should add and I am very pleased with it. I bought it because I just installed a TV console with doors and my PS3 was overheating like a bastard so I took advice from someone in the Sony website articles. I read reviews from other people saying the fan was loud but I don't think it is. They also said it had a power light that is very bright if you put it near your bed to sleep in front of it; well I use A/C when it is hot so I wouldn't know but the fan kicks ass and I recommend it for gamers and cable tv watchers especially if you have a surround sound system like I do.

Customer Review: amazing little fan. makes for a great room exchanger too!
Summary: 5 Stars

well first off, I saw these at Lowe's for $20.

I was looking for those corner fans you put in the door frames to move air from one room to another. with one nail to wedge this unit at the top of the door frame this fan is perfect for that. its 3" width became a 3" height, and does the job perfectly. I don't know what the 1 star and 2 star complaints about noise and low air flow are about, this this is plenty powerful for a personal fan or as in my case, to move air from the hot one to the cold one. its just about silent too.

Customer Review: COOLS, and is COOL looking.
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this fan at work. It's whisper-quiet, great-looking, takes up little table-top space, and works exceptionally well within 6 feet.

ANOTHER GREAT CHOICE, that I use at home:
Though it doesn't oscillate, another highly effective fan that offers a small footprint on your desktop, as well as the option of a removable clamp, is the versatile Lasko Clip Stik Desk Fan:
