Tools and Hardware Reviews of Lasko 4924 Space-Saving High-Velocity 3-Speed Oscillating Blower FanCustomer Review: Slim design, not slim on performance Summary: 5 Stars
We had purchased one of these HVB Fans at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago and were quite impressed with the performance. We went back to Wal-Mart the next summer looking to purchase another and they no longer sold them, that was an uncomfortable summer. So we went online this year and found them and made our purchase there. They aren't exactly "decorative", but they move air quite efficiently and don't take up a lot of room to do it. We have them staggered throughout our home and they kept us cool all summer long, even in the 90+Fahrenheit days we had for weeks on end. These fans are a bit pricey, but compared to the 20" traditional shaped fans, they are every bit worth it.
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little skeptical about the air conditioning effect I had read about in other reviews, but this fan is wonderful. I live in a 900 sq. ft. apartment and this fan easily cools the entire apartment. I have had other fans in the past, but they were nothing like this. If I ever need another fan I know I will be buying another just like this. It is very easily moved if needed also. I have no complaints at all about this fan, by far one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. However, if you are looking for a fan to just put off a small breeze, you might want to consider buying a different fan because even on the lowest setting it blows out a lot of air.
Customer Review: ONE GREAT FAN!! Summary: 5 Stars
This fan was in a cabana I rented for a day by the pool on a day in Florda that hit 93 degrees...I thought I actually had air conditioning outdoors. This fan is QUIET, you can use the oscillation or not. It has 3 speeds (low, med or high). It is quiet at all speeds. It truly made a hot, humid day very comfortable. I tried locating this fan at local stores and couldn't find it, so I was excited to see Amazon had it for sale. You will not be disappointed. It is about $20 more expensive than similar models, but I actually tested this one in the cabana and I was sold. You are not going to regret it!!
Customer Review: Lasko floor fan Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased my first fan in 2003. This fan has ALOT of power. You will feel the fan blowing on any of the 3 settings, unlike many other floor or stand fans, which lack power.
Took it to our annual Hula show (Ho'ike) and the ladies were so grateful for me bringing this fan in our changing/dressing rooms. (They always forget to turn the A/C on while we're getting dressed).
I Couldn't find it any where here in Washington State, so I searched the internet. I'm now adding 2 more of these fans to our household.
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Customer Review: Summertime Marvel Summary: 5 Stars
It's pricier than a box fan, but the HVB is everything I wanted:
+ Compact form factor
+ Good air movement
+ Quiet
+ Easy to move (handle on top back)
Seattle recently set a record for the hottest it's ever been here (104F). I don't have air conditioning and this thing is about all that kept me and my nine-month pregnant wife sane. It followed us from room to room.
The only con I can think of is that it doesn't have any type of cord management that I can find -- nothing to wrap the cord around when it's not in use.
