Tools and Hardware Reviews of Lasko 5365 30-Inch Digital Space-Saving Ceramic Pedestal Heater with Remote ControlCustomer Review: Good heater for small-moderate sized room Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good all-around heater, and a huge step up from my old box fan-style heater. It gives out enough to heat a small room and enough to warm up a moderate sized room. It is NOT for large rooms with high ceilings unless you are sitting in front of it. It has kept me warm through the last 4 months, and only seemed a little underpowered on the coldest of nights (15-20 degrees).
Pros:
-Convenient remote that is easy to use
-Oscillation helps spread the heat out
-Thermostat keeps the room from getting too hot
-fairly quiet
Cons:
-display on top is too bright and annoying in a dark room
-lacks a timer to turn ON after 8 hours (I like my room warm in the AM and cooler at night)
-sound may annoy some light sleepers who put it next to the bed
Customer Review: Pretty good heater Summary: 4 Stars
I have purchased two Lasko 6350 heaters.
Overall I really like this heater.
The Pros:
- Relatively quiet. Some people mentioned that there is a difference in noise level between the high & low settings. In the model I purchased there was no difference in noise. i.e. the fan level was the same. It is just that in low heat - the amount of heat dispensed is lowed.
- Very nice remote
- Temperature control
- Overall nice performance
The Cons.
- The unit has an option to Oscillate. In one of the units I purchased the Oscillation caused an annoying tapping noise which made me have to replace the heater with another. Since the unit has to be disassembled & reassembled again - that was a little more trouble.
Customer Review: good, but ... Summary: 4 Stars
I'm satisfied with my purchase, but the heater does have one flaw that is possibly a safety hazard: if you turn it off while it is in automatic mode (i.e., the heater is automatically turning off & on using its thermostat to maintain a desired room temperature), it will ALWAYS be in manual mode when you turn it back on. I can imagine a scenario where a person forgets to place the heater back in automatic mode after turning it back on (it DOES remember the previous automatic mode temperature setting), leading to some sort of disaster. In manual mode, the heater stays on continually so the room will just keep getting hotter and hotter. I hope that no one accidentally cooks their infant or pet with this heater!!
Customer Review: Great Value! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second time purchashing this heater. I bought the last one 6 years ago for my college dorm room to beat the cold Minnesota chill. I recently bought a house that has an addition off the kitchen. The central heating doesn't always reach the room, but this little Lasko heater does the job in no time! The timer is an excellent feature. Set it for an hour before you go to bed and the room is nice and toasty when you are ready to hit the pillow. Since it is easily transferrable from room to room, it allows me to keep my thermostat set lower during the winter months. I'm not sure how accurate the heater's thermostat is, but overall it is an excellent product for the money.
Customer Review: Keeps the room nice and warm.... Summary: 5 Stars
I love this heater.
It really does a good job keeping the bedroom warm. Sometimes I'll wake up and it'll be too hot that I have to turn it off... did I tell you that it comes with a remote control????
It's a great thing to have by the night table especially when you wake up in the middle of the night and don't feel like getting out of bed to shut it off.
I also love the fact that you can adjust the temperature to what you want and also how many hours you want it on for.
It's a excellent heater to have It's especially great for those of you who have Landlords that are too cheap to give you heat.
