Customer Review: Looks great, but installing was difficult!

I have replaced all the gang wallplates and switches in my home with the Leviton Decora brand. I truly love the clean, modern look that these wallplates have. I installed several one and two gang plates with no issue, but once you move up to 3 or 4 it becomes quite a challenge.
The install design is just plain bad in my opinion. The idea is that you should loosen the top and bottom screws of each switch, you then take the inner plate (not seen) and slide it over the top screws on each switch. Easy to do with one or two switches, but once you have 3 or 4 it is difficult to line them all up properly and slip the top piece on each one without it popping off the previous one you secured. But the top was easy compared to the bottom. Once you secure the top you are then to press the bottom piece in place over each bottom screw. Sounds easy, but again when you are trying to work with 3 or 4 switches it is a nightmare. What I ended up having to do was remove the screws completely, then put the inner plate over the switch and screw the screw back in place. I think that is an easier approach, but still a challenge.
The other issue is getting each switch to line up in depth, you may have one that sticks out a litte further then the other or vice versa so you have to play around with and reposition the switches as you go. It probably took me close to 30 minutes to install each 3 or 4 gang plate I had, but I did take my time and make sure it was done properly in the end and all switches lined up. Once in place, it looks awesome! I just hope I never have to replace one of the switches in the future.
