Tools and Hardware Reviews of Life Gear LGTF38 LED Flashlight with LED Reading Lamp, NOAA Emergency AM/FM Radio with Alert and WeatherbandCustomer Review: Not so good Summary: 1 Stars
The first time this item was received it was a piece of junk...didn't work at all. I returned the item and it was reshipped. The second one works okay...so far. I ordered an AC charger from the manufacturer, but as of yet it has not been received. I keep getting put off and told that it takes a very long time for the USPS to ship this item. I find it hard to believe that it takes almost a month for the postal service to deliver this item. I probably will not order any other items from this manufacturer.
Customer Review: Don't Waste Your Time Or Money! Summary: 2 Stars
Please avoind this item. I am not sure where the other reviews came from buut this is total junk! I actually thought I received a USED unit when I opened the first box....item was dirty, knobs and switches were worn, faceplate scratched. The replacement came in the same shape. The weather radio would not work on either and the FM would not tune on the first. There have to be better units out there. All of these need to be sent back to China!
Customer Review: Junk in Clamshell Packaging Summary: 1 Stars
This radio is junk. The tiny rechargable battery can only power the radio for about one minute. The radio tuning knob is very sensitive which makes it hard to tune to any frequency. But, the radio reception is not sensitive -- you have be next to the transmitter to get a signal. The selector slide switches for power source, AM/FM/Weather, and Weather Channel are cheap, imprecise, and will fail quickly. This radio is trash. DO NOT BUY!
Customer Review: This does everything but make dinner! Summary: 5 Stars
I couldn't believe all the bells & whistles on this radio. Everything seems to be well made, too. The flashlight doubles as an alarm that flashes and whistles in case of emergency. The front opens up to produce a great reading lamp. I bought one for myself and one for a gift! It comes with a Nokia cell phone adapter but I haven't gone on the manufacturer's website yet to get the free AC adapter and customized cell phone adapter.
Customer Review: Seems to be good, but weatherband doesn't work for me Summary: 4 Stars
When I first got this radio, I cranked it right away and tried to get it to work with no luck, only then did I realize that you have to put the battery in in order for it to store the cranked power--duh :). Anyway, I was able to get radio stations that are normally difficult to get, but I wasn't able to get the emergency weather station. Everything else seems to work as promised, but I haven't tried the cell phone charger yet.
