I bought this because it's the same make/model as the gate opener my roommate has. I went through a number of hoops to locate a gate opener that would do the job, and I chose to stick to what already works. It's a bulky gate opener and I would prefer that it was more compact. Additionally, it was rather challenging to open, and I made several marks on the device while attempting to open it by twisting a coin in the slot (as suggested by the documentation that came with it). I am not looking forward to a time when I have to change the battery or the code and am forced to pry it open once again. Still, it works and that's all I really cared about.Customer Review: Easy Does It!

I am extremely satisfied with this remote. First of all, before I even purchased it I contacted Nancy (ASPDoors) to find out if I was buying the right remote. Our remote was ancient and we could read the numbers clearly on the back. Nancy answered my question the next day and I placed my order. It arrived two days later and took me all of 5 minutes to program 2 remotes. The only criticism I have is the back was a little difficult to open. I am very satisfied with this product considering the garage door installers were going to charge me $32 for each opener. I would recommend anyone research this avenue first...saved me a lot of money!Customer Review: Love Amazon.com

This product works perfectly. Just what I needed. No problems with the ordering or receipt of it. I have been looking locally for a replacement garage door opener for two years. None of the big box stores in our area carried the product. One sales clerk did suggest that I look on line for the opener. I put the item in my search engine and the first store was Amazon.com. I am a frequent user of Amazon so I had no problem placing an order for several of this garage door opener. I ordered this Multi-code 3089 to replace 15 year old clicker that was in condo building we bought. The "Super" gave me old clicker to copy dip-switches from inside; package arrived and I opened in car about 200ft from garage door. Opened back of new clicker; set dip-switches to match ones I recorded from original one; pushed button; PRESTO!!!! Door opened on first attempt.
My 5 year old could have set this up; couldn't be easier.
My experience was that it replaced a clicker from a unit about 15-20 years old.
Customer Review: Does not scan for frequency. Make sure this is compatible with your garage opener before buying!

If you don't know your garage door opener's frequency or if it isn't a programmable opener, then this remote is not for you.
This remote does not scan frequencies, but has 10 little sliders on the inside to program it to your desired code. If you don't know your opener's code, then this remote is worthless.
I'm sure it works great for what it is made for.
Oh, and mine also did not come with a visor clip or battery (even though the description said so)
