Customer Review: Deep pockets for sure!

The mattress protector arrived quickly and in good condition. I didn't bother to wash it before putting it on the bed and unlike some other reviewers, mine didn't have any kind of "funky" smell to it at all. The deep pockets are REALLY deep and in fact, could cover the entire mattress AND the box spring at the same time! I have a pillow top mattress that I have trouble getting regular fitted items to cover well, but this pad fits perfectly.
I haven't noticed any increase in rebound heat from the pad and it seems to be absolutely quiet when lying on it in spite of the plastic backing making a considerable rustle while actually making the bed.
I got this to prevent sweat and body oils from getting thru to the mattress and it seems to do the job efficiently. I never take any liquids into the bed, so didn't get it for that heavy duty type of protection, and can't say how well it will perform against a spill.
Overall I'm very satisfied with it so far, and if there are any issues with it after washing and drying I'll come back and edit then.
My only minor point of dissatisfaction is $10 for shipping, but it wasn't shipped direct from Amazon, so can't blame them!
