Customer Review: Poor design
Summary: 2 Stars
This portable light is the size of a small tv remote and provides good illumination for its size. There are two major design flaws which prevent me from recommending this product. First, I noticed that the light casts a very narrow white light with two streaks of yellowish tinted light next to it (Think :Twinkee glow" with yellow outside and white cream inside). This weird cast is most noticeable when reading material printed on white paper. The white plastic immediately adjacent to the LED lights is very thin so it allows some light to seep through which casts a slight yellow color. Perhaps a black colored plastic would have prevented this problem.
Second, the light seems to have been designed to be used with a computer since the light can be powered via USB. Unfortunately, the light contains a very strong magnet in the base. Magnets near computer harddrives is not a good combination.
Because of these two flaws, I cannot recommend this product.
