LoveloveLOVE my corded lamp dimmers! I put them in spa rooms (as in massage & treatment rooms), around my home, and even give them as gifts.
I'm a true Fan of ambient lighting~ and not only does this product offer that perfectly, but saves energy as well!
If the dimmer isn't being used on the floor, I use some 3M hook & loop tape (also a fabulous thing) & attach it to the side or under a table, to the wall, etc. Extremely handy.
I use them not only for Every Single Light I own, but also it's perfect for light branches, as well.
If you've never seen light branches, you're in for a treat. Amazing invention. So far there's only 1 company on Amazon I see that sells them, but if you surf the web, you'll see all Sorts of designs of lighted twigs that look like pussy willows, cherry blossoms, orchids, etc.

I bought 3 of these for nightstand lamps at home. Note these have a disclaimer saying they are only for incandescent bulbs, so discard this if you are going to be using low-consumption (fluorescent type) bulbs (the ones that come with the electronic starter). The item works fine. The construction is good enough (4 little round rubber adhesive pads it has on the base seem to come off easier than anticipated). The cable is quite sturdy. Installation is quick and easy (I can't gardly call it "installation"... just plug the thing into the outlet!). As indicated in other reviews, don't excpect micrometer adjustment capabilities, but I do think it is sensitive enough to allow for low level, dim lighting conditions... it just takes a little practice to know where to find the sweet spot, but I think it is good for my needs and I would purchase again.Customer Review: Perfect for new parents!

Like others here, we were compelled to purchase these dimmer switches after the birth of our baby. She slept in our bedroom and I needed some light during middle-of-the-night feedings but even the lowest setting of our 3-way bulb lamp was bright enough to disturb my husband, and frankly it wasn't pleasant for me or baby either to go from nearly pitch black to a bright lamp. This dimmer switch allows you to get just the tiniest bit of light - just enough so you can see what you're doing, but not enough to disturb your spouse or wake your sleepy baby.
It does make a very slight buzzing sound but it's not enough to bother me.
I think I told my husband every night for two weeks how much I love these dimmer switches! They made my life a little bit better :)

I don't really have much to say about this dimmer, because I have had two of them for years and they always work exactly as they should; nothing more, nothing less. I gave them 5 stars because they are simply excellent. I bought some other dimmers, prior to these, and they had problems. I love it when stuff works the way it should and does not have any problems. Maybe it seems silly to write such a long review for a little dimmer, but they are not so easy to find around town, and when I buy something like this online, I worry a bit. These dimmers are solid, and I would buy more if I needed them. Someone wrote a bad review, saying it broke soon after buying it; but that's probably a very isolated incident, which can happen to just about anything, even the best.Customer Review: Great for the bedroom!!

I have a 3-month-old baby, our lamp is too bright and our night-light is too dim.
And I need the lights off to sleep.
When I turn off the lights my wife complains because she needs some light to change the diapers or to feed the baby and I did not want to go out and buy another new lamp with dimming functions and throw away a perfectly good lamp.
In this situation, this product is perfect!
Bright enough for the baby, dark enough for me to catch some z's.
The only add-on that I would like to request for is some sort of slot in the device so I can hang it on the wall with a thumb-tack. If it had that, I'd give it 5 stars.
