Customer Review: Good, but all weekdays treated the same

This thermostat is simple to install and operate. However, I have two problems with it:
1. I work from home Monday through Wednesday, so I would like to have a different program for those days vs Thursday and Friday. That's not possible with this thermostat. All weekdays must be programmed the same.
2. The display always shows the current temperature and not the target temperature.
If you are OK with these, then buy it because it is a good value. I wish I had known about the weekday problem, then I would not have bought it.

This Lux thermostat is a bit complicated to use, and the instruction manual leaves a bit to be desired. But the functionality is exactly what I wanted, so it is perfect for me. I have used programmable thermostats for nearly 30 years. This Lux has separate programs for Saturday and Sunday, and also is easily switched to a "special program" which you might use if you are at home on a weekday. The built in humidity meter and filter-replacement monitor are nice features, too. This model packs a lot of function and is a great value at the current price.Customer Review: Easy to install and works great

I don't have much experience with replacing electrical things around the house, but installing this was very easy and didn't take very long. As long as you mark your old wires so you know where they go on the new thermostat then you should be good. I love being able to program the AC/Heat to come on and off at certain times during the week. Having Saturday and Sunday controls works out great also and if you need to override what you have programed it's as easy as pushing a button. I would recommenced this to anyone. Quick and simple to install. The kit includes a very good set of instructions for all skill levels. Includes a useful set of wire labels that eliminate confused wire connections. Has handy air filter replacement reminder system to help get maximum benefit. Thermostat easiy to programmable and operate. The device has saved a fair amount of expense on cost of electricity. Has AA battery-run program that keeps set up data through a power interruption. Has independent heat and cool programs. An excellent purchase.Customer Review: Good thermostat, good price

My wife and I recently moved into our first house and found the existing thermostat to be from the fifties. After doing some research, mainly on Amazon I found this one. I am not mechanically inclined but found the directions helpful and easy to understand. In less than a half hour it was on my wall and working well. After two weeks my wife and I feel it works great and has a nice display. If you're not sure which thermostat to buy, look no further. This is a good thermostat at a good price!
