Customer Review: Undocumented tricks

There's an undocumented "feature" in this product: when you put it in "cool" mode (i.e., turn on the air conditioning) it waits five minutes before closing the A/C circuit. That's not mentioned anywhere in the documentation nor on the web site (which, btw, is pretty good for resolving wiring configurations). Compounded by the fact that Tech Support is available only through call-back, I spent about 5 hours at the bench with a multimeter and rechecking HVAC operation over two days before I got to talk to a tech and get told "that's the way it works." You can set switch 4 (just above the 'Hardware Reset' button on the back of the circuit board) to the low position if you only want to wait 2 minutes for something to happen. Undocumented " features" are killing me...
