this product didn't work, when we called Lux to return the item we NEVER got any of our calls returned. After 5 attempts we finally got someone to give us a return number and we shipped it back. Then we waited and waited for the credit to hit our account and it never did. We disputed the item through our bank and they did a temp. credit for 60 days and attempted to contact Lux to resolve this. Lux never even contacted our bank to resolve the credit dispute. I had more difficulty setting the time and temperature points than others seem to have had, but I think I've got it now. Control of temperature is quite precise, holding to ±1° consistently. Instructions were understandable, no surprises. I hoped that the mounting screw holes would be in the same place as the old thermostat, but they weren't and new holes had to be drilled and old holes patched up.
I am satisfied with the performance of this thermostat.

Very easy to install and program - user friendly.
Works like a champ and is already saving me money on my heating bill.
Wish I would have purchased it years ago as it definitely is a money saver.
I choose this one based on Consumer Reports recommending it as a best buy and user friendly programming capability.

I bought this thermostat because was recommended in the consumer reports rating last year. They were right, it was very affordable, easy to read, and the best part, it was easy to program. The installation was straight forward, I had it working in about 30 minutes. I will be saving quite a bit of money, specially now that everything is getting costlier.Customer Review: Great Product

Lux is rated by Consumer Reports as one of the best programmable thermostats on the market. It's easy to install and comes pre-programmed. Make sure you get the right one before you begin. You can contact a Lux tech rep and they'll help you determine what you need. I had to send this one back, but only because it was the wrong one for my A/C unit.
