Excellent customer service from Lux helped identify the right thermostat for a 2H1C (with auxiliary) heat pump system. Installed 9100E with clear instructions from Lux support. It has been in use for over two months. Noticable drop in electric bill compared to corresponding months in previous years. 7 day programming capablity offers great flexibility and convenience. This is the best for the buck. Sad to say, I bought this because it was alot larger than the others, and I needed to fill the hole over my last thermostat. I didn't realize we were getting such a great product. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a budget of $50 and wants an east install.
Remember, if you have a 4-stage like me you want to cross the green and yellow wires!

I had a hard time picking a thermostat because they all had some bad reviews, and I'm glad I didn't pick a cheaper one than this because it's been very good. We did have kind of a hard time installing it, but with a little help from google we were able to do it. Other than that, it seems to be measuring the temperature correctly and keeping the house cool. Good purchase.Customer Review: Good thermostat

Pros: This thermostat replaced one we had for 18yrs. Installation was easy; simply reconnect four wires. It responds to changes much more rapidly than the older one.
Cons: When manually resetting the temperature, the numbers on the older one would begin blinking to indicate the furnace was starting up. This thermostat does not have this feature.

It's very easy to use. Even though I don't have 2-stage heating, it's cheaper than the touch-screen alternative I considered. The default programming has been convenient enough. Most importantly, the temperature in my house feels a lot more like the temperature shown on the display. I've yet to determine if there's any impact on my utility bill...
