By programming a maximum and minimum temperature, this unit allowed me to stop the constant on/off cycling of my electric heater's on-board thermostat. Setting different day/night temperature programs also means no more fiddling with an inaccurate temperature dial every morning and evening.
This is an excellent unit, and I expect that it will rapidly pay for itself in energy savings.

I purchased this item to use with a basement baseboard heater. The unit is easy enough to use, and the temperature sensor has been accurate enough to keep the room temperature stable. I'd prefer a backlight on the display to more easily see the temperature setting. All in all, a terrific item to use that can help save some energy while keeping a part of your home at a comfortable temperature.Customer Review: Did the trick

I have a small greenhouse, about 12 x 16, which would go from 45 to 90 in about 30 minutes flat once the sun came out in the mornings. I plugged in the WIN100 T-stat and plugged the exhaust fan into the t-stat outlet, and voila, no more rushing into the greenhouse to turn on the fan. It was easy to program too. I've only had it a couple of months, but so far I'm very pleased with the unit.Customer Review: reasonably reliable

I use this thermostat to turn on and off an attic fan when temperatures get too high. I've found that every few months mine needs to be turned off and reset, or the fan will just run continously. This is no big deal for my purposes, but if you use it for applications where temperature control is critical for keeping animals or plants alive, check it periodically or buy a more expensive unit.Customer Review: Not disappointed....

This thermostat/timer is almost exactly what I was hoping for. It functions as designed, however, not everyone's weekly schedule fits into weekdays and weekends. It would be ideal if it had more options to program more precisely, i.e., by day of the week rather than M-F and Saturday & Sunday together as some sort of traditional weekend. Many working people work irregular days of the week.
