This device is way more than I expected.
All I was looking for was an accurate digital thermostat to turn my space heater on and off because the built in thermostats never work very well.
This unit works just like a regular multi day programmable home thermostat.
It has a 4 timer weekday setting, with temporary and permanent HOLD.
And a 4 timer weekend setting, with temporary and permanent HOLD.
For better accuracy, try not to plug the unit into an exterior wall outlet. Sometimes the outlets have a slight draft, and the thermostat may not register correctly.

I've been using two of these to control two space heaters. They are working great with no problems.
This is essentially a programmable thermostat, very similar to what you would use for central heat and air but it controls power to its outlet for a plug-in heater or small air conditioner. I use it with the heaters to keep the room comfortable during the day, but essentially turn the heaters off at night by setting a low temperature.
It also has a sliding On Off switch which you can use to force power to your appliance off. (In the On position, the thermostat controls power to the appliance.)

I bought one of these thermostats to use with a Dimplex Electric Stove CS1205. Absolutely amazing temperature control! The stove is either on or off, high or low. With the thermostat, it controls turning it on and offf instead of me getting up in the night to do it. I am purchasing another one for a heater in another room. It's easy to program this device, and the override makes it easy to adjust for guests who need it a little warmer/cooler. Truly a money saving device. I expect the two thermostats will pay for themselves this winter alone. This would make a nice gift for those with on/off heaters and air conditioners.Customer Review: Bad Experience

Amazon recommended WIN100 Heating & Cooling Programmable Outlet Thermostat after I bought "Dimplex CS1205 Compact Electric Stove" heater because the heater doesn't have thermostat. After it arrived, I couldn't connect to that outlet and wasn't compatible. Then I had to call and email customer service and wait for their responses. They later confirmed that if the heater doesn't have third prong (ground wire), DO NOT USE AND RETURN IT. Then I had to pay for shipping cost to return it. Amazon should consider the valuable reasons and they had to make sure before they recommend any more product.

I purchased this in conjunction with a heating pad for my dogs for those days and weeks in the fall and spring where temperatures fluctuate daily. This way I can only run the heating pad when it's needed. It may take a while to pay for itself, but I like the added satisfaction that it's not drawing power when it's not needed. Programming it was a bit tedious, but only because it offered a lot of flexibility. We'll see how this unit pans out over the remainder of this season and on through spring. If I can come home and my dogs aren't shivering in their beds, then they're happier and I'm happier!
