The item was promptly shipped and it works properly. I was surprised to find that it used batteries (button type & were provided). When it switches the load on or off there is a slight but noticible click.
I use it to control an oil filled space heater in my bedroom. The thermostat on the space heater clicked loudly, caused a bright flash when the current was interrupted (when turning itself off), and it did not control the temperature very well.
I am happy with the WIN100 and would recommend it to a friend.

The thermostat is accurate and easy to program. Unfortunately, it does not work with digital/programmable heaters. The reason being, when the desired room temperature is reached, the thermostat completely kills the power to the heater.
When the room temperature drops below the tripping point, power is fed back to the heater. However, at that point, the power button must be manually pressed on the heater to turn it on.
Thus the thermostat is of no use when used with a digital/programmable heater.

I have 4 of these thermostats. I use them to maintain the temperature of 4 different rooms. I have the temps set for my comfort at a different temp for each time of the day. I use them with the Eco flat panel whole room heaters. I love them and would suggest it to control all electric heaters. I even used one for a few days to control a small space heater in the room with my dog who had just had a litter of puppies and I wanted to keep the room at a constant temperature. So many uses and ideas came to mind after my Purchase. I control my Heat and Air. Great simple to use and program. It will save you hundreds of dollars in the coming years.

Well I bought this to control a 400W IR heater that I placed up high in my sons room so he could not get to it. The relay in this thing welded shut the very first time it turned on. I am an electrical engineer so I just fixed it myself. The relay is a bit too small in my opinion, but it should not have had any problem with a 400W heater. I installed a larger relay and it has been working great ever since. The control part works really well but I suspect the relay will eventually go out even on one that works right.
