I don't understand all the positive reviews. This thing is junk. I've bought two and both have the same problem, as mentioned by another review -- the thing just stays on -- even the off switch doesn't work. But in my case it's not once a month, it's constant. These things are worthless, and worse than that, dangerous if you're using them for anything important, such as, I don't know, heating and cooling.Customer Review: Love my thermostatically controlled outlet

I have been looking for a product like this for some time. I wanted to control my through the window swamp cooler. I previously had it on a timer that has pegs for 15 minute intervals. This was not always handy if it was a cooler day. I received my purchase. It was fairly simple to set up - or you can leave it set at the factory default temperature. It works like a charm. Now on days where it does not get to warm until later, the unit does not run unnecessarily. I would recommend it to anyone. This has a setting for heat as well, so it could also be used with a plug in heater. Customer Review: This plugin thermostat is a Lifesaver

I'm caring for a friend who is in really bad shape healthwise, almost totally bedridden. My wife and I invited him to come live with us so I could care for him. He's in need of someone to even fix his meals for him. He came to live with us in October. The first real cold snap of the year caught me by surprise and I didn't have the heater on. He got very cold that night, and it had a very detrimental effect on his fragile health. This same thing happened a few more times (to a lesser degree) before we purchased this plugin thermostat for use with a room heater for him. It has been FANTASTIC!!! I can't say enough how helpful this item has been. After buying it, whenever I would walk into his room during the winter, his room was never too hot or cold after that, always just right. This has been an excellent quality item, and extremely helpful! Blessings on everyone involved in making it available.Customer Review: Great product.

I bought this product to control a window air conditioner. The thermostat on my conditioner was less than effective, leaving my room too warm at three in the morning, so I bought this product. It plugs into a nearby receptacle and measures the temperature from there and turns on or turns off the air conditioner the same as a programmable whole house thermostat. It is sensitive and keeps my room at a constant temperature all night long. I am thrilled!
