Tools and Hardware Reviews of MAGLITE SP2209H 2-AA Cell Mini LED Flashlight with Holster, Gray

Customer Review: Dropped in two inches of dirty bilge water and still working!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have always been a fan of maglite flashlights. I purchased the mini led one and have been sastisfied with the performance, brightness, and rugged characteristics so far. I work in a ship yard and I depend on my flash light every day when I am doing through hull inspections on boats we Haul and Launch. The other day I dropped my light in a bilge and was sure it was a goner. When i opened other hatches on the floorboards I could see the light shining in the water. Pulled it out, cleaned it off and it works fine. I would suggest purchasing the Nite ize swivel stlye holster if you are a belt carrier. All in all great light in a small package. Buy it!

Customer Review: Maglite Mini LED - Gray
Summary: 4 Stars

Nice flashlight. AMERICAN MADE and reasonably priced. Plus, it is a Maglite. Everyone is familiar with the feel and operation of them, nothing has changed except for the better. Nice bright light. This is NOT a tactical light, but bright enough for most needs. I have a Surefire that I use at work and sometimes it is TOO bright for the task at hand, not to mention the cost of the batteries. This light strikes a nice balance between dull incandescent flashlights and full-on tactical 100+ lumen flashlights, plus it uses the ubiquitous "AA" battery. For an AMERICAN made LED flashlight for around $20 it is an amazing bargain.

Customer Review: Excellent instrument
Summary: 5 Stars

What can I say? It's a flashlight with a brain. It has a very intense beam. It can be used at 25% power to conserve battery power, plus it monitors energy use and automatically adjusts for optimal efficiency.

It has a blinking mode and an SOS mode built-in for those times when you need something more than a simple light source.

I comes with a holster and batteries, so at the price and the performance, I'd call this item a real steal and a definite must have.

If you have a first generation mini-mag, you'll be blown away by this technology.

Customer Review: Bright and tough, no more broken bulbs!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought several LED Maglites this year. The Mini 2-AA LED (this one) had already been dropped several times and hasn't even flickered, the light is very bright and the batteries last(over 7 hours on the Mini, and not even beginning to dim yet).

I also bought a 3-Watt 2-D cell LED Maglite (from a local store), and it throws brilliant light a considerable distance. The 2-D LED Maglite also was not phased by being dropped, even though it fell some 15 feet onto concrete. The housing was slighly dented on one edge from the impact, but no other damage occured.

Customer Review: Light frequently goes out, have to keep tightening cap
Summary: 3 Stars

I know maglites are always high quality, but explain to me why I have to keep tightening the battery cap? I'll be using it while working and all of the sudden it goes out or flickers on and off. I have to tap it or unscrew and screw the cap to get it shining again. I think there is a loose connection between the battery and the cap, but I've tried to stretch the spring out and it doesn't really help.
Besides that, it's a good flashlight. Very bright, long battery life, and I love the 50% power setting for when you don't need a super-bright light.
