I've had one of these flashlights previously and took it camping in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevadas and Inyo National Park. It was my reliable source of light for night time forays to the "green room". This one I purchased is going with me to Italy and though I'm not camping I know that in Italy the utility workers strike at the drop of a hat and that there could be no lights in my hotels, this is just a little bit of reassurance in case I'm walking down a dark stairwell or down a dark hallway at night. Like the incandescent flashlight that preceded it, the MAGLITE SP2209H 2-AA Cell Mini LED Flashlight with Holster, Gray is well-made, easy to use, handy, and bright. In fact, this flashlight has become my "do all" unit. I can use it walking, on my bicycle, with a little ingenuity attached to a headband, or around camp.
Highly recommended, I hope the battery life proves to be as long as the unit is good.

What can I say? This is a great small flashlight.
It's cheap (considering its quality), durable, bright, long-burning, long-lasting, simple, and stylish.
Fits in a pocket, purse, car console / glovebox, desk, toolbox, etc.
Unless you want to drop 2-3 times the cash on some fancy 'tactical' LED flashlight, this is the way to go. The metal construction and LED bulb assure that, as long as you don't lose it, this light will serve you for years and years to come.

This is a great little LED flashlight that requires only two AA batteries. It is light weight and comes with a holster that can be attached to your belt. The special lighting modes can be confusing to some people though. To cycle through the modes you have to turn it off and on quickly. To reset it you must leave it off for about 5 seconds. Also, its made in the USA. One more word of advice... Maglite recommends the use of alkaline batteries and not the long lasting lithium batteries.Customer Review: Great flashlight

I have been using Mini Maglite's for twenty + years and they finally got it right with this one. No more fumbling in the dark with the butt case light bulb when the bulb blows while you are in the attic or crawl space.
Try getting that tiny bulb out and inserted into the two even smaller holes in complete darkness.
With this model the bulb will never blow and it is much brighter than the Halogen type. Battery life is much greater as well.
