Customer Review: Best American Flashlight I have found.

If you ever laughed when you heard "vote early, vote often" then you haven't figured out that the most important vote you cast is with your dollars. Every dollar you spend that stays in the USA votes against NAFTA, CAFTA, and all the other overseas crime that has ruined our American jobs and our economy. Personally I'd be embarrassed to tell you I knew how Chinese or foreign crap performed. I do know I use this light to inspect welds inside of pipe before the root is finished. We have to be able to identify anomolies and fix em before the X-ray sees em and sends a welder home. I need the brightest most focused beam I can find. I need it to stand up to a terrific beating in terrible conditions too. I must have got all the good ones because these, with their 3 Watts of lumens, have become my favorite. I've spent the last couple hours stocking up and sending them out as gifts. I went to the Maglite website and didn't see them on the current Maglite product list so I was afraid they might be discontinued and I wanted to get one to everyone I thought anything about before they were unavailable. These are cheap enough that you can afford a drawer full of em for what you would pay for some foreign outfit with the same lumens. I just ordered the end cap switch for mine too. Can't wait to see how that works. I've got so used to twisting to perfect focus that I can't imagine doing anything else. I guess where instant light is more important than focused light the end cap switch is the ticket. In a hurry the more things that operate with one hand the better. A US made Leatherman, Kershaw Leek, and Buck 120 are the only knives I've ever felt good enough about to give regularly as gifts. Now I am busy handing out Maglite flashlights. Kershaw in my pocket, a Buck on my hip in the field, a Randall next to my Ruger on the night stand, a Remington with Leupold and Burris glass, Maglite to shine light on the subject, Redwings or New Balance on my feet, Filson everywhere else and a Union built Ford to carry my carcass around in. If you're going to be a bear be a grizzly. Keep America American. Any other way I don't call living.
