I recently decided to replace the old oversized, battery eating, incandescent flashlights my machinists were using. I was burning through a box of D batteries every couple weeks. I first purchased two of the Mag 3-cells, and let a couple of my machinists try them out. They commented on the improved lighting and also the strong white light they emitted. They also found them easier to maneuver in tight confines. The rest of my staff was quickly jealous, so I bought 12 more.Customer Review: A Joke!

I bought this flashlight after seeing all the advertising for Maglite. What a disappointment! It is small and puts out maybe 20 lumens of light, if that. The lumens are so low that Maglite never even lists the lumens on any of its products, unlike its competitors.
This thing might make a decent booklight but that is not what I bought it for. For the same price at this over-hyped, underperformer I could get a flashlight 5x as powerful!

I have had perhaps 6 Maglite flashlights, all but this one have had a good working switch. This one worked fine when I got it. I did not use it for several weeks and then it did not work. You can fiddle with the head by turning it, sometimes it comes on correctly, sometimes it comes on dim, most of the time it won't come on at all. I think Maglite has a quality control problem so I won't buy any of their products any more.Customer Review: Item does not work!!!

no one can find the parts
to fix it So just went down
to local Hardware store
& for a few extra dollars
bought a new one that does
work. After paying for product
plus shipping it is more
cost effective to get something
local from someone you
can deal with in person

Delivery was swift. Props to Amazon for that. I pretty much knew that you can't go wrong with a Maglite. I was glad to see that their LED flashlights are just as reliable as that standard flashlights, with, in my opinion, a cleaner, brighter light. And hopefully, due to the use of LED's, it's more efficient, although I haven't used it long enough to burn through it's first set of batteries yet. So far, so good. A+
