I have owned this flashlight for several months now and must say that this is one of the brightest flashlights I have ever owned. When I first received it I added some old batteries to it that were in an LED lantern that did not give off very much light. When I turned it on, I was floored with the output from even old batteries. We now use this flashlight exclusivly unless 2 people need flashlights. This and the 3AA LED are the BEST combo of flashlights if you live in rural area. Recent purchase of 3D LED loaded with cells that were dim in a conventional flashlight produced a bright beam. I own 3 or 4 of the 3D LED units. I replaced a 4 D LED that worked flawlessly but went dead, the "Name Brand" D cells had coroded and ruined the tube. SO..a good practice would be to inspect the cells periodically. I wrap my tubes with Friction tape for a better grip.Customer Review: OK flashlight

'Makes a nice club if you need one. The "spare" bulb is not an LED...just a regular incandescent bulb. 'Not sure how one would even
install it on this flashlight. The beam is wide but poorly focused in the
center. I have other LED flashlights that are brighter and better focused. Generally it's an OK flashlight, but I would probably grab one
of my other slightly smaller ones if I were going to be storing it in
a back pack.

I spent a week in the isolated Peruvian Tambopata rainforest using the Maglite LED 3D flashlight and absolutely loved this quality American-made product. The flashlight was rugged and provided super illumination during night hikes through total darkness and while slogging through thick mid-calf mud.
The only problem I had was that my guide liked it so much I had to give it to him when I left. I now have to buy another one.

I bought this product to use at my work and its just great. Very durable and bright. I own other MagLites with the tradition kypton bulbs (Which work decent for general purposes)but this LED one takes the gold. Good on battery life and doesnt dim much when batteries are low. Overall I love this product and the price of $25 is a steal. I recommend this flashlight to anyone.
