This is a great flashlight, it lights up the night. The fact that you can focus the light into a narrow beam is a great feature. It makes it easy to scan the edge of the woods from my back deck (looking for racoons) about 100-150ft away. It is rugged too, I can't count how many times I have dropped it and still the original light bulb works. It is nice heavy duty flashlight,if I had hammer something (small) or pry something it would hold. Don't forget though, this flashlight isn't light and it isn't good for a long stroll at night. It is a little too heavy to carry comfortably for a long time and doesn't fit in pockets or packs well, but fits just fine in my toolbox and trunk.Customer Review: Absolutely Perfect!

I have been waiting for the LED versions of this line of flashlights for 10 years and now I have two. I have both a 3-D cell and 4-D cell version of these awesome lights.
I love the blue/white color temperature of the beam. Tough and durable flashlights that should last decades.

I've owned many flashlights during my life,and none can outdo the Mag light.It's built strong,and has an extreme long range beam,and is very affordable.Much better then those fancy-ancy high priced flashlights I've seen for sale on the Amazon site.I bought the red 4-d model(nice).Customer Review: Just as bright - if not brighter

I'll admit I was skeptical that an LED flashlight could be as bright as my last 4-cell maglight - but it really is! The light is more even than a normal bulb and it appears brighter because it has a very slightly blue tint.
While it has a blue tint, the LED light is not like most of the BLUE-BLUE LED lights you have seen elsewhere. It just has a slight tint and really is kinda nice.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a serious flashlight.
