This light is not as bright nor works as well as a 3-D LED LIGHT. Very disappointed with the Maglite. I have one of the original 5 cell D lites and wont get rid of it. Why is the 3-D brighter thazn the 4-D Review: maglite 4D ledSummary: 4 Stars Great light source! Can light up to 100 m or so! Bit on the heavy side only slight difference between 2D and 4D! I will prefer 3D or 2D next time. If you want to buy a 4D, I will recommend it.

Excellent and typical Maglite product. The LED bulb is extremely bright and the unit has a backup conventional bulb in its base. Very long battery life with the LED bulb.Customer Review: Bright

This is the best flashlight I have ever owned, I am also going to buy the 2 cell version. Warning don't look into the light to see how bright it is like I did!
