Tools and Hardware Reviews of MagLite LM2A001 Replacement Lamp for AA Mini Flashlight, 2-PackCustomer Review: Mag Replacement Bulbs Summary: 5 Stars
So, I had this AA battery Mini Maglite that had been sitting in my nightstand for a couple of years, see? The darn thing simply stopped workin' one day. In a cleaning frenzy one day, I gathered it up with an assortment of magazines, a dried floral arrangement & a Slinky that was all tangled up & dumped all into the trash.
Seeing the Mag Lite join the other rubbish, I decided to reclaim it & see if I could somehow give it a new lease on life & put the item in my pants pocket. Later that evening, I sat at my P/C & feeling its presence, decided to see if Amazon might offer the bulbs in question.
Lo and behold, I found what I was lookin' for in no time, placed my order & in a few short days had the bulbs in my old Mag Lite. I twisted the top and was greeted with the beautiful sight of a bright, steady steam of light!
This is a great deal!
Customer Review: Xenon is much brighter than stock bulb! Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered these replacement bulbs and was pleasantly surprised to receive Xenon bulbs; based on the main product picture, I was just expecting stock bulbs. I replaced the bulb in my Mini Mag and was again pleasantly surprised to see the difference in brightness! The Xenon bulbs are much brighter, and even slightly smaller. I have always preferred incandescent bulbs to LEDs. This flashlight has been going strong for over 20 years, and I expect it to last another 20 at least. $1.25 for a bulb that lasts 10+ years of occasional use? Good enough for me.
Customer Review: Bright but outshined by LED technology Summary: 4 Stars
This used to be the best lamps until the recent advent powerful LED. The LED offer longer lasting, less power consumption and less heat.
I lost the count how many bulbs I replaced in my Maglite. I use it everyday and all the time.
I use rechargable Ni-MH AA batteries. With this filament type bulbs. My batteries had to be charged every couple of days. Now with LED lamps the batteries last 5 working days!
Go for LED
Customer Review: Durable, Bright Little Bulbs Summary: 5 Stars
I put one of these in my old MiniMag after the original bulb burned out. I do believe these are a little "hotter" than the one that was in the flashlight when I bought it ten years ago. I have fumbled the flashligh several times while it was on and the fall did not break the filament. These will brighten up your little light; for you life, consult the "personal development" book section!
Customer Review: Watch-out for similar products (non-Maglite) Summary: 5 Stars
MAGLITE model#LM2A001 2-Cell AA is an excellent match for your mini Maglite Flashlight. Watch out for products claiming to work such as Rayovac 2-T1AAA they are suppose to be compatible with both the double A and triple A configuration. Guesse what... they burn out quickly!
Wal-Mart list price is $1.57 as of 1/21/05. You get two in a pack. Part # 107-000-396.
