These may certainly be used for many diverse, practical and previously known tasks. But their true glory lies in their ability to be nothing and yet almost anything you can imagine. They're strong little magnets, which can be a little hard to get off metal surfaces if you don't have fingernails. I find that they're easier to take off if you have several attached to each other (this forms a bigger nub that you can grab on to) so I'm trying to keep 4-5 spares lying around for this purpose.Customer Review: Great for Magnetic Paint

I bought these as a trial run and I am extremely impressed. I put up 7 coats of the magnetic paint on a wall. The paint itself is pretty weak but these magnets worked great at holding up my kids pictures, paintings, etc. They are the perfect size and extremely strong. These magnets are small, but they're very strong. I bought them because of a dumb little project I saw online: Add a few of these quarter-inch diameter magnets into the barrel of a bic pen and you can stick the pen right to your refrigerator. I bought these magnets with the hope they would hold my calendar up in place of the 9 magnets I was using. they are strong enough to make them difficult to pull apart, so I had high hopes, but unfortunately I still needed 8 of these magnets to hold up my calendar (and it's only May!)
