These are made from Nd2Fe17B -- the material which, according to current scientific knowledge, is best at holding onto magnetism. They are shiny little cubes, only 1/4" on a side. But once one of them sticks to your refrigerator, you'll have a hard time pulling it off! With only one hand, I simply cannot do it! I must use both. If you have a free magnet already in your hand, it really helps you remove one that's already on the fridge.
With two hands, I can remove a single magnet, unaided, from the fridge. One hand tilts the magnet while I stick a fingernail from the other hand underneath it and pry. I'm tempted to use pliers!
These magnets naturally want to *slam* together. But try to avoid that because they will chip or break.

Description of Magcraft NSN0606 1/4-Inch Rare Earth Cube Magnets, 20-Count
Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet currently made. They are amazingly powerful for their size and have innumerable uses. These magnets are 0.250 inch (6.4mm) cube. They are composed of grade 40 neodymium iron boron magnetic material and are plated in nickel-copper-nickel for a shiny corrosion resistant finish. Their individual pull force is approximately 6 lbs.
