Customer Review: Beware of tiny lint particles

Packaging is nice when it first arrived. The maroon color is gorgeous and the ivory color is okay. I washed them right away because they smelled funny. As soon as I washed them, I noticed tiny particles of lint all over my washer and dryer. After drying the maroon one, I then noticed more lint particles on the sheets that I had laid them on. Although, the product is very light wieght and somewhat soft, I wish I hadn't purchased this product. You can probably find better ones elsewhere for the same price. I just stuffed them in duvets for now and am using them that way. I hate returning stuff so I'll just keep them. P.S. Still smell funny after washing. But will still give stars for the color of the maroon, lightweight and okay priced.Customer Review: Blanket is great!

I've owned these blankets before, as I have bad allergies and it's recommended I wash bedding frequently in hot water. These blankets can take it, they wear like iron, and the colors dont fade. Soft and warm. Another reason I like them, I live in FL and they're the perfect lightweight blanket for year-round use.
The price was good so I actually bought two.
The only problem I have is, I can't get the color I really want. Some years ago I had a Vellux in bright cherry red, but today I can't find such a color.

THis item is not bad for the price. I was hoping for something a bit more plush, but this is alright for it's price. I bought the cranberry and I have noticed a few more red fibers around the house when I dust, but nothing too terribly bad. After washing the color did not fade at all. This blanket is lightweight, colorful, washable and virtually weightless.
It is very comfortable and does not bind while sleeping. I have always had these blankets ever since I an remember and they only need replacement after about 10 years depending on care and degree of use. Excellent value for the money!

I had ordered vellux blankets from other sources and had to return them because of the "flimsiness" of the product. Not so with this Martex Vellux blanket. This blanket is thick enough to be extremely comfortable but thin enough Not to be uncomfortable. I stronly recommend this blanket.
