Customer Review: Not for people with allergies

This product is supposed to be hypoallergenic; however, when I opened the package a strong chemical odor came from the blanket. After airing it out for a couple of days, the odor remained and continued to remain even after washing it in a commercial washer a couple of times. When I tried to use it after washing it, I awoke in the middle of the night with an intense headache and stuffed sinuses. I then replaced it with my old blanket, and there wasn't a problem. When I again tried to use the blanket, an allergic reaction marked by stuffed sinuses and headache occurred again. This blanket is definitely not hypoallergenic.
