I loved my first velour blanket bought a while back, not sure which brand, made in the USA, soft, hypoallergenic. This one is OK but not as soft. It had a funny smell out of the bag. So I washed in cold water before use, & it shed a lot in the washer & dryer. I didn't return due to having washed it. It still sheds some. Label says made in China, hmmmmm, much poorer quality than that first one I bought a while back. Sorry, don't usually have anything against Chinese made goods.
