Customer Review: Works well after a break in

First, upon receipt, I was surprised to receive a lock with five dials, as opposed to the pictured and described four. It had the same model number on the packaging, and a trip to Master Lock's website seemed to confirm that this wasn't a knockoff, perhaps just an update.
I received a lock with black dials - they are a rubberized plastic, like is found on some phones. It grips well. The intensity of the black is inconsistent, some dials look more like a dark graphite than black. Same with the white numbering/lettering, some looks almost dirty/yellowish. However, cosmetic issues are obviously not going to affect the functioning of the lock.
It's quite easy to set a combination of one's liking - pull off the end cap, and set the combination desired. The directions are clear. The lock works and is secure. I found the dials hard to turn initially, but as I've used it, they seem to have broken in and now function more or less as I was expecting. I think this is probably a symptom of the rubberized plastic vs. hard plastic on previous iterations of the lock.
